Plan a place for the things you use every day, with practical drawers and cabinetry.
Coordinate colours, textures, tapware and lighting around one clear direction.
Review the work involved and proposed timing before the renovation begins.

Bring the colours and materials you like. We’ll talk through how they could work in your space, alongside practical choices for everyday use.
Talk through your ideasTell us about your existing bathroom, your suburb and what you would like to change. Measurements and a few ideas are useful, but you don’t need to have every finish chosen.
We can discuss the possibilities. The existing structure, plumbing and site conditions will affect what is practical and the scope of work.
Costs depend on the room, the scope and your selections. An assessment and an agreed scope are needed before a project quote can be prepared.
Timing depends on the work involved, material availability and scheduling. The proposed sequence and timing should be agreed before work starts.

Photos help explain the problem, but do not confirm the cause of a concealed leak. Please leave out tenant identity documents, keys and access codes.

What is protecting the building below?
Tiles and grout do not replace the waterproofing system underneath. A prepared surface, treated junctions and the right curing time matter before the tiles go on.
Persistent damp smells, loose tiles, bubbling paint or damp patches nearby are reasons to investigate. They are clues, not proof of one particular fault.
New grout or silicone may help worn surface joints, but cannot replace a failed membrane. Concealed damage may require opening finishes, taking the room out of use and repairing nearby areas.
It depends on the cause. Repairing worn surface joints may be appropriate maintenance, but it cannot establish that the concealed waterproofing is sound. If the membrane is damaged, a suitable waterproofing repair or reconstruction needs to be assessed.
Explain where the water appears and when it happens. The assessment should distinguish plumbing, shower-screen seals, surface joints and concealed waterproofing before a repair is proposed. The extent of opening-up depends on the findings.
An assessment should check for restricted drainage and whether the floor slopes towards the waste. Surface pooling alone does not establish whether the concealed waterproofing has failed; the cause needs checking before choosing a repair.
Note where water collects, how long it remains after normal use and whether it backs up at the drain. Describe these details in your enquiry. If pooling persists or water escapes the shower, arrange a professional assessment rather than assuming new grout will solve it.
Ask for the exact areas being waterproofed, the proposed products, preparation work, timing and who is responsible for each stage. Discuss how work around junctions and penetrations will be coordinated, and what is excluded from the price.
Allow time for the specified system to cure before tiling. Confirm the scope and responsibilities in the written contract before work starts, and ask what installation records and product care information will be provided at handover.
Keep drains clear, attend to deteriorating joints and avoid drilling into wet-area walls without advice. Photograph changes and arrange an assessment if dampness persists.
